The last weekend in January we picked up and went on a little trip. We were all having a bit of cabin fever. When I say we, I mean ME! With all the holidays over, life has slowed down and gotten a little mundane so it was time for a break. We had a great time. It was nice to be able to have fun without the daily tasks and phone calls getting in the way. The trip really made me want to try harder to spend less time doing and more time playing with the kids, before I know it they will be all grown up….
While on our trip we visited my friend S. and her family, who I had not seen in almost six years. We had a lot of fun together, but I must admit my favorite part was snuggling with S. daughter W. It’s crazy to see friends I grew up with having kids. It made me feel old.

Looks like you guys had a great time! I am always jealous of people that are able to actually swim right now. Even though it does not get that cold down here, I am freezing and can't wait for it to warm up!

OH I could definetly use a weekend getaway!! I am envious, but our time will come. Right now... it's all about Owen's recovery. I got you message on my cell so I will call you back ASAP...
